Skiareal Klínovec

Klínovec, the highest mountain in the Krušné Mountains, offers its visitors wonderful opportunities for winter sports, both downhill skiing and cross country skiing. Pyšná ski resort

The resort is managed by the Ski club Slovan Jirkov. It offers various slopes for beginners as well as advanced skiers or families with children. The resort is situated in the Ore Mountains 6 km north of Jirkov. With its top elevation of 745m and location on the north-eastern face of the mountain range, the resort warrants good snow conditions.

The total length of the ski slopes is 1,140 m and the highest vertical distance is 132m. The resort is equipped with snow-making machines and lighting for night skiing. The ski-park for children is free of charge. Up to 60 km of maintained cross-country skiing tracks.

Svahová

There is a 380 m long ski slope next to the hotel in Svahová mountain village situated 9 km away from Jirkov. Part of the ski slope can be used for bob-sleighing. Winter sports fans will be pleased by the ski-lift with minimum waiting times.

Skiresort Lesná                                             Cross-country skiing - map   

Visit the recreation resort Lesná situated in the Ore Mountains. The Lesná Hotel offers accommodation and restaurant. The nearby tourist information centre Lesenská pláň offers information on interesting trips, local sights and planned events. The Ore Mountain Museum hosts a permanent exhibition showing traditional life of the mountain inhabitants 100 years ago. Come an enjoy the maintained ski track running from Pyšná through Svahová up to Lesná ski resort. If you are more adventurous, you can continue in the track through Nová Ves to Klíny or Seiffen (Germany) and then carry on as far as Dlouhá Louka, Bouřňák and Fojtovice up to Telnice.
