Jirkov's scuttlebutts

In a long time, in a 12th centruystaid a castle Neustein in Telčské valley, where were bandits.The Lord of the Borek (now Červený-Red Hrádek) wanted to defend of hold up buyer and he undertook armed conflict. And it was bout on existence or death.

One day the Lord of Neustein decided, that carry away a son Lord of Borek and educate him to hate his own father. He was successful. He left his clothes at wood to think he is died. The years go on and the boy was nice and robust and he was pride of the castle. One day was Neustein's informed about the way Venetian's buyers with the silver and gold. They didn't know, that theese buyers were escorted by the people from Borek. They were attacked and the Lord of Neustein was seriously injured. He told his half-son to avenge him and then he died.

Young knight from Neustein decided he want a wife, but she was a daughter a Lord of Borek. He carry away her. She did not want be his wife. He assegned a day of wedding and he let a girl come to Chomutov to confession.

The girl complained with her problem to Reverend and he advised her to give a lensbutton on the way back. Then they found a castle easily, where she was constrained. The Lord of Borek with the knights attacked the Neustein. Garrisen of Neustein were not preper. When the Neustein's detected they will be defeated, the young knight wanted a girl kill but in this time came old nanny and told him all story. Young knight was aghast and fell from the tower. The Lord of Borek was like that he saved his daughter but he was sad too because he found his son was alive.

Other very known faim is from 1588 when the Jirkov's children prepared the celebration of carnival. When the carnival's parade stoped before the cemetery, the hornblower tooted to the Dead to stand up and go to parade. Then the parade came to Chomutov. When they went back they noticed a black rider. They thought he is from Chomutov. He was ghostly. This rider took the hornblower and said him: "Now you come with me and the others come later".The people from parade thought it is fun but the next day dying people form parade. The next fame is about evil man Tempis of castle, who lived in 18th century. One day he came from Chomutov and he had more beers in Chomutov's pub because he muddled the way back. He saw the light and he thought he is under the castle. He felt that his horse fell to the bog. Tempis remembered on the God and he promised him when he save them so that Tempis built chapel. They were saved and Tempis built a chapel there.
